Hi! I am Jen White,

Jen White, author of AWKN - A Way to Keep Noticing.

Founder and CEO of AWKN Enterprises, LLC, certified performance coach, author, photographer, artist, art therapist practitioner, Buddhist practitioner, mother of two, and caretaker of two wonderful parents in their 80s. I am also a bereaved mother and widow whose life changed forever in 2022 — and someone who tries to choose, slowly and imperfectly, to stay present within each day despite tremendous loss.

AWKN – A Way to Keep Noticing was not created from theory or training alone—it was shaped through lived experience, profound loss, reinvention, and a relentless commitment to finding meaning in the midst of it all.

My life has taken me through multiple careers—from geology to technology to corporate leadership—before ultimately calling me into creative and transformational work as a photographer, artist, and professional coach. Each chapter sharpened a different lens: strategy, resilience, human behavior, and the ability to navigate complexity. But it was my personal experiences—the unimaginable loss of my son, followed by the loss of my husband, and the responsibility of rebuilding life, family, and stability—that transformed how I see, lead, and serve.

Through photography, I developed a trained eye for what most people overlook—the subtle, quiet moments where truth lives. Through art, I found a way to express what cannot be spoken, allowing emotion to move and release. And through professional coaching, I built the structure and strategy to help others not just process their experiences—but rise from them with clarity, direction, and strength.

AWKN brings these disciplines together into a single, powerful approach. It is a business devoted to helping individuals—especially those navigating grief, transition, or high-pressure seasons of life—slow down, see clearly, and move forward with intention. This work supports clients in navigating the real-life intersections of personal challenges, career demands, and family responsibilities without losing themselves in the process.

At its core, AWKN is about awareness in action. It’s about noticing what matters, reclaiming your internal steadiness, and making aligned decisions that create both personal peace and external results. This isn’t passive reflection—it’s a grounded, strategic, and deeply human path forward for those ready to rebuild, redefine, and lead their lives from a place of truth.
